Faculty of Management University of Lodz

Faculty of Management at University of Lodz (http://wz.uni.lodz.pl/en) is one of the largest business schools in Central Europe offering wide range of courses on bachelor, master and doctoral level as well as MBA studies (currently 6500 students take part in all forms of education). The potential of the Management Faculty includes 150 staff members (including 80 Ph.D., 30 D.Sc. and 10 full professors).

The Faculty specializes in research and education in the area of e.g. supply chain management, entrepreneurship, accounting, human resources, quality management, innovation implementation, public administration, information technologies, etc. The programs of the postgraduate studies are designed to meet the employers’ requirements and focus on building the knowledge and skills needed in a particular job. Selected programs are also dedicated towards special groups such as entrepreneurs or small companies.

The Faculty is an excellent partner with current active links into business practice. Constant cooperation with many companies (including SMEs)is performed trough providing advice and training through MBA and postgraduate study programs as well as joint projects.

UoL is the coordinator (lead partner) of TrainERGY and is also in charge of the curriculum development.

Lecturer in the field of process management and organizational improvement on MBA programs, postgraduate studies, full and part time studies at the Univeristy of Lodz. Experienced project manager and researcher in sevral Erasmus and Leonardo do Vinci projects. Visiting professor at: University of Roskilde, Denmark; University of Alcala, Spain; University of Riga, Latvia; Porto Technical University, Portugal; University of Valencia, Spain. Certified Quality Auditor. Co-owner of an SME consulting company Umbrella Consulting Ltd. Dr Agata Rudnicka

Assistant professor in Department of Operational Processes Improvement / Logistics at the University of Lodz. Her main field of interests are: CSR, sustainable development, business ethics, environmental management and social and environmental aspects of supply chain management. She has got 9 years’ experience in teaching, research and business consulting in these areas. The head of the CSR Impact foundation. External expert of Responsible Business Forum. Certified project manager and tutor. Dr Grażyna Wieteska Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Management, University of Lodz. She has got several years of business experience with a huge commitment to B2B relationship management and risk management. Since 2007 she has been employed at the Unit of Operational Processes Excellence at her home university. She lectures on supply chain risk management, business continuity management, supplier relationship management and logistics audit at a variety of business schools in Poland and abroad. She is a member of the Commission for the Quality of Education at the Faculty of Management. Involved in international research program Marie Curie Actions (FOLPSEC—Functioning Of The Local Production Systems In The Conditions Of Economic Crisis) and the local manager of international project ELIEMENTAL: Breaking Down Barriers to Enterprise (Lifelong Learning Programme, Leonardo da Vinci).E-mail adress: gwieteska@uni.lodz.pl
Prof. Maciej Urbaniak

Full professor at the Faculty of Management at the University of Lodz. Head of Logistics Department and external evaluator at the MBA (Poznan University of Economics) and lecture at the Master of Science in Technological Sciences in Lodz, in collaboration with the IC2 – University of Texas). He is an expert in foresighting of technology and in international research programs (such as Leonardo da Vinci, Interreg, VII UE FP). He is also visiting professor at the University of Texas, Austin, l’Université Jean Moulin Lyon III, Dogus University in Istanbul, Kaunas Technical Univesrity, University of Cantabria in Santander , l’Université Pierre-Mendès-France a Grenoble. He is also Member of American Society for Quality and Polish Society of Logistics and Expert at the National Science Centre. Anna Wronka – Assistant professor in Department of Operational Processes Improvement / Logistics at the University of Lodz. Her main field of interests are: quality management, ISO standards and certificates, Lean Management, tools and methods of improving processes. She has got 13 years’ experience in teaching and research on B2B market. Visiting professor at: Instituto Politécnico de Beja-Portugal,University of Coimbra- Portugal, Universidad de Cantabria, Spain, Dogus University, Istanbul – Turkey, Cadiz University – Spain, Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki-Greece and Porto Technical University.
