University of Naples presents TrainERGY to over 200 business delegates

The University of Naples organised a follow-up event multiplier event that took place in the city of Caserta (Italy) at the Grand Hotel Vanvitelli, on 19 September 2017.

The event was organised in the context of an educational project, named “Riqualificando in Tour” promoted by the University of Naples and FALP in collaboration with the regional professional orders of architects and engineers, and in partnership with six local companies.

The aim of the project is to train and inform technicians, industrial experts, engineers and architects with new practical tools for energy retraining and energy efficiency in order to combine theoretical ideas with practical applications. The multiplier event in Caserta represented the first out of five thematic meetings on energy efficient operations, that have been planned in order to touch all the provinces of the Campania Region.

The University of Naples contributed by presenting a wide overview on the TrainERGY project, moving from its aims and objectives up to educational activities delivered during the two training sessions so far organised. Some of the case studies developed by teams were also showed, in order to highlight the potentialities of the SCEnAT tool to act as a decision support system able to provide useful insights and support managers in defining their environmental strategies.

The other speakers involved reported both on the opportunities of economic revival in the energy efficiency field linked to the renewed Italian regulatory framework and on some successful local SMEs’ experiences by presenting the latest technological solutions that they have developed.

The event registered an incredible success in terms of dissemination objectives, since it saw the participation of more than 200 people.

UNINA and FALP also attended the other meetings so far organised, in Avellino (5 October) and Salerno (12 October).
