TrainERGY present at 10th ICEIRD Conference in Thessaloniki, Greece

TrainERGY was represented by Dr. Bartosz Kalinowski and Dr. Adrian Solomon at the 10th International Conference for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development (ICEIRD) that took place in Thessaloniki, Greece during 31st of August – 1st of September 2017 .

During the conference Dr. Kalinowski presented on TrainERGY research covering ‘Drivers, Barriers and Competences for Energy Efficient and Sustainable Operations – European Case Study’. This research has emerged as an outcome of WP3 (IO2) which aimed at identifying the energy efficient operations training needs in UK, Greece, Italy and Poland. Over the past 10 years, ICEIRD has become one of the leading entrepreneurship, innovation and regional development conferences in Europe, attracting academics and practitioners worldwide. ICEIRD over the past decade has focused on the importance of universities, industry and government, and how innovation-led growth can be promoted. To this end, integrating TrainERGY’s presentation at this conference achieved a strong impact for industry and startup representatives (as well as academics) present at the event. The audience showed a high interest in the presentation and follow-up discussions emerged.

Next year, the 11th ICEIRD will take place in Doha, Qatar (29 -31 October) and the main theme of the conference will be sustainable development. TrainERGY aims at being represented at this conference’s edition as well with a paper and dissemination stand.
